 Easy

   Easy walks of up to 6 hours on a good track, easy gradient

 Moderate

   6 hours-plus, generally on a rougher track or route, some steeper terrain

 Hard

   8+ hours-plus on a rough track or route, often steep and/or exposed

Fitness Essential


8+ hours of tramping per day, regularly navigating on untracked, rough terrain, either in bush or at high altitude. Multiple ascents/descents per day, sometimes steep. Fitness, strength  and endurance for multi-day trips essential.
